Michael Cullen Boose, JD, was born on April 26, 1955. He is an esteemed attorney with a strong educational background and extensive legal experience. He graduated from Pine Forest High School in 1973, East Carolina University with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1977, and the Campbell University - Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, earning his Juris Doctorate in 1981. 

His career began as an Assistant District Attorney for the 12th Judicial District from 1981 to 1983. In 1983, he transitioned to private practice at MacRae, Perry, Pechmann, Boose, and Williford. Since 2013, he has been a partner at Boose & Stewart. 

Michael Boose is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. He has successfully represented clients in various courts, including the North Carolina Supreme Court and the North Carolina Court of Appeals. He has also served as the Town Attorney for Hope Mills and Spring Lake, NC. 

In addition to his legal practice, Michael Boose has held various elected offices, including serving on the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners from 2016 to 2024. He was recognized as the Most Responsive Politician in Cumberland County in 2017 and 2019 by The Fayetteville Observer. He has also been involved in the Cumberland County Board of Education for multiple terms, serving as Chairman in several years. 

Michael Boose is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Cumberland County Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He has been recognized as one of the Best Three Attorneys in Fayetteville-Cumberland County by the Fayetteville Observer in several years. His accolades include recognition as a North Carolina Super Lawyer in Criminal Defense and Personal Injury since 2008 and being named to the Top 100 North Carolina DWI Attorneys list by the National Advocacy for DWI Defense in 2017. 

Beyond his legal and political work, Michael Boose has been active in civic organizations and served on boards such as the Cape Fear Valley Medical Health Center Board of Trustees. He is designated as Deputy Fire Commissioner by the Cumberland County Fire Chiefs Association and has played significant roles in various community organizations. 

Michael Boose is dedicated to serving his community through his legal expertise in criminal defense, traffic violations, personal injury, and more. He is married to Donna Boose, and they have five children: Michael Jr., Jenna, Brad, Justin, and Jessi. They are also proud grandparents to Cameron, Tyler, Coleman, and Madi.
